Understanding your Will
Your Will is a written document which sets out how your assets and affairs are managed following your death.
Without a valid will, all of your assets will go to your next of kin (according to the succession act). The same will occur if your will cannot be located, or if it is found not to be legally binding.
Placing your will into storage with us allows you to rest assured knowing it meets Irish guidelines and that your executor and beneficiaries will have access to it when the time comes.
How our Wills Storage Process Works
We will check that your will complies with the requirements for execution under Irish law. There very are strict technical and legal rules in relation to signing and witnessing your will. We will verify that your will meets these rules at the very start of our process.
We will scan and digitally back up your will. We offer clients the option of receiving a digital copy by email and we store a copy on our own server. The original will is placed in our fire proof vault.
